Each year in mid-July, Hollins University hosts the Francelia Butler Conference, a student-run conference that provides students the opportunity to submit their critical or creative work for judging by both their peers and professionals in the field of Children's Literature.

Art Show and Silent Auction Committee Information



Volunteering: 
We need volunteers to help watch the auction/art show during the day of the conference. If you cannot volunteer your time, we hope you will consider submitting art or donating items....read below for more information!

Art Show:
Your art could win $100 at FBC! Submit a Graveyards & Dark Spaces themed piece to the FBC art show. The person with the most votes wins the Margaret Kates Award and $100 cash! Silent Auction:
Please donate to the FBC Silent Auction! We accept ALL DONATIONS, but popular items include books, house wares, children's literature memorabilia and signed material.  Are you a published author?  Please consider donating your signed works! Proceeds from the silent auction go towards funding future conferences. There will be a donation collection box outside Amanda's office, but you can also set up a time and place for drop off with Eileen Struble.
